Power Rangers

Tom helps Morgan refresh his memory of the good old days of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, and try not to have our childhoods ruined by shoddy production, racist undertones and dodgy spandex suits. We also discuss the ‘classic’ movie, its many TV spinoffs and the future film.

Beer choice: Doom Bar (reference – Rita Repulsa’s impending doom. Yeah, we know.)

Developments since broadcast:

  • Amazingly, the Power Rangers TV series is still going. Since this episode, there have been five more seasons – our favourite of which was called ‘Dino Fury’ in 2021.
  • In 2017, the Power Rangers film reboot was released. While it pleased a decent amount of fans, it wasn’t a massive box office success.
  • Paramount is currently working on another attempt at a Power Rangers film reboot.
